The Asterisk: Public bins and their script IDs have an * to differentiate them from your private bins and scripts.
Don't Worry: Public bins and their scripts are protected against modification or deletion. It is only possible for users to create, rename, or delete private bins and scripts.
Bin Manager: Bin Manager is found under Tools on PledgeDriver's toolbar and gives the full list of all public and private case and close bins available to your account and the number of scripts in each. To sort the list, use the pull down menus at the top right to select Case, Close and/or All Bins, Public Bins, or My Bins. The search window allows you to quickly locate a specific bin - type a key word and click on the binoculars.
Add and Name Private Case and Close Bins: Open Bin Manager from the Tools pulldown menu or click on the +/- icon at the right of the Case or Close bin selector in the Script Manager. Click Create New Bin. For your Bin ID choose 2 or 3 upper or lower case letters - longer bin IDs can take too much room in the grid when combined with script numbers. (Lower case letter take less room in your grid.) CAUTION: avoid using ascii characters and numerals in your bin ID, and do not use the same ID for a case and/or close bin. These two situations have resulted in mis-loaded scripts. Your Bin Name can be whatever words you choose. (Ex. If the bin name is Top of the Morning, the bin ID could be TM.) Again, shorter is better - long bin names have caused problems with PledgeDriver's ability to fully download. Script Bin Description is optional, but could include script sources, drives, etc. Select whether the new bin is for Case or Close messages and the appropriate market (Ex. Public Radio) and Save.
Edit a Bin Name: From the Case or Close menu, select the bin you wish to rename. Click on +/- to open Bin Manager, click Edit, rename, and Save.
Delete a Bin: Select the bin you wish to delete. Click +/- to open Bin Manager, click Delete, and OK.
Previewing Individual Scripts: Hover over a script name in the selector window. The text will appear in the Selected Case or Selected Close window below the selector window. If you click on the script name, that script’s text will remain in that window.
View All Scripts in a Bin: Click the script number link (Ex. "23 scripts") below the selector window and to the right of the controls marked edit|delete|new. Click OK on the popup "View printable version of all scripts in this bin?" The scripts are in Rich text format and can be printed from the File menu at the top left of the window. Or copy and paste to a Word document using standard keyboard commands: Ctrl+A to select all, Ctrl+C to copy, Ctrl+V to paste to Word.
Search All Scripts in a Bin for a Key Word or Phrase: Select the desired bin and click to link showing the total number of scripts in that bin. Click OK on the popup to "View printable version of all scripts in this bin?" Open Edit on the toolbar, then select Find on This Page (or Ctrl+F). Type the word or phrase to search. The search word or phrase will be highlighted throughout the entire html page.
Saving All Scripts in a Bin to Word: Select the case or close bin you wish to copy. Click the script counter (ex. 23 scripts) below the selector window and to the right of the controls marked edit|delete|new. Click OK on the popup "View printable version of all scripts in this bin?" Select all scripts using CTRL+ A. Then Copy and Paste to your Word document as usual. You can edit public scripts in Word and then import them to a private bin, but you will need to convert to rich text as explained in the Importing Your Own Scripts section above.
Popup Didn't Pop Up: If the "printable version of all scripts" popup does not appear, check behind the grid screen. If it is not there, check that the popup blocker on your computer has been deactivated. There may be additional popup blockers within pfishing filters that also need to be deactivated - Instant Messenger may have such a blocker.
Export All Scripts in a Bin to Word: Copy and paste public or private scripts into Word or any other document editor by using the standard commands in Microsoft Windows.
Bulk Importing Public Scripts to a Private Bin: Click on Bin Manager, found under Tools in the toolbar. Click on Create a New Bin to prepare a private bin for the bulk import - or you can import the public scripts into an existing private bin. Find the public bin you'd like to import and click on Bulk Import. (Public bins are "owned" by admin@pdp.com.) In the next popup window select the "destination" private bin, then click on Import Bin.
Consolidating Private Bins: You can bulk import all scripts from one private bin into another private bin using the procedure described above. Be sure to delete the exported bin(s) after you are done.
Keyword Search: Open "View printable version of all scripts in this bin?" by clicking on the link telling the number of scripts in the bin. When the scripts are open, use CTRL + F to open the Find window and enter a key word to search.
Bin Search or Sort: Bin Manager, found under Tools on PledgeDriver's toolbar, gives the full list of all public and private case and close bins available to your account and the number of scripts in each. To sort the list, use the Bin Selector pull-down menus to select Case, Close or All, and Public or Private. The search window allows you to type in a key word to quickly locate a specific bin.
Script Manager: Scripts can be viewed, edited, added or deleted in the larger window provided by Script Manager, found under Tools on the toolbar.
Viewing All Script Titles in a Bin: In Bin Manager, click on the bin name or folder icon.
Script/Bin Highlighter: To highlight all of the placements of a particular script in the grid, select the script title in its bin and open the Case or Close highlighter pull-down menu to select Script. Scripts will stay highlighted until you deselect the highlighter feature. To see placement of all scripts from a particular bin, select that bin, then choose Bin from the highlighter pull-down menu.
Troubleshooting: Sometimes when you've opened a case bin, its script titles may appear in the close bin window. This seems to be caused by clicking around before the scripts have been completely loaded into the bins. Please let us know if you experience this.
